Look at the Parks in Fuquay - get way to get out and try a new activity......Tennis anyone? The Fuquay-Varina Parks & Recreation Department cares for 20 parks with more than 300 acres spread throughout the town. No matter where you live, a park is always close by. Parks are listed in alphabetical order from left to right. All parks are open from dawn to dusk except for approved programming under light. www.fuquay-varina.org/departments-and-services/parks-recreation-and-cultural-resources/parks/

I got in a new activity last week while at Universal Studios. My youngest and a friend's son wanted to climb the rope play area at Jurassic Camp, and there was too much out of the line of sight for us to be comfortable letting them play alone, so I tagged along. I have to say, I would have volunteered someone else 75 pounds ago - and I still had a tough time keeping up! Had to overcome some anxious feelings about the ability of those ropes to hold me up, but in the end I really enjoyed the memories we made!
